Howdy

For my internship, I worked in the Lettermen's Association at the Texas A&M Athletic Department.  I assisted with planning events for former and current student athletes.  If you have any questions, feel free to email me!

Job Description and Qualifications

In this position, you will assist with the planning and execution of athletic events, communicate with former student athletes, and keep member information current in the database and Excel spreadsheets.  

Event Planning experience is recommended.
Some Marketing experience is recommended.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook.

Benefits

Although I didn't get any monetary benefits for this internship, I received six TAMU credits, along with great experience and networking.  I was also able to intern at a San Antonio Spurs game and a Houston Rockets game in the Game Day Operations Departments, and meet so many interesting people that I would have never had the opportunity to meet.

Internship Duties

During my internship, I was able to help plan and work some events including the Athletics Career Fair, the 2015 Football Reunion and the Building Champions Awards.  I also kept member information up-to-date in a database, assisted with large mailings and helped with the set-up and break down of athletics events.
